I love this simple hack to transform my favorite cocoa dusted almonds into a simple snack without added sugars. I’ve replaced the sugar with chocolate protein powder for a great grab-and-go snack.
In just four simple steps and a handful of ingredients, you can make a large batch of these almonds coated in cocoa protein powder and keep them on hand for whenever you are craving a sweet and crunchy snack.
How to Make Cocoa Dusted Almonds:
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk chocolate flavored protein powder, ground cinnamon and salt until mixed well.
- Melt coconut oil in the microwave; pour over raw almonds, stirring until all are completely coated.
- Pour the protein powder mixture over the coated almonds, stirring until almonds are evenly coated.

Ingredients
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 1 heaping teaspoon organic coconut oil
- 2 Tablespoons chocolate protein powder
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch Himalayan Pink Salt
Instructions
- Combine chocolate protein powder, ground cinnamon and Himalayan Pink Salt in a small bowl.
- Melt coconut oil in a microwave bowl until liquid form. This should only take a few seconds in the microwave.
- Pour melted coconut oil over almonds; stir until all almonds are completely coated.
- Pour protein powder mixture over almonds, and stir until almonds are evenly coated.
