It’s a 17% Alc/Vol liqueur that is a mixture of Irish whiskey and cream. Other ways this Irish Cream whiskey is often served include on its own over ice, or mixed straight into your cup of java.

Recently, my husband and I took a trip to Cancun and we had the opportunity to fly first class (thank you credit card points). As a perk of first class flying, we enjoyed complimentary alcoholic beverages served in real glasses. We had an early morning flight, and I was not in the mood for mimosas or my favorite drink, the Cape Codder (Cranberry and Vodka). 

What To Mix with Baileys Irish Cream

Baileys on the rocks is a little too strong for my taste, so on a whim I asked for some milk to mix with the Baileys. Low and behold, this became an instant favorite.  The milk sweetens up the flavor of the Irish whiskey, and the cold mixture goes down smooth.  I liked it so much that I bought a bottle of Baileys to enjoy this drink at home.

I was actually on a flight to Mexico when this inspiration hit.  When on an airplane, there’s only so many options available as mixers from the flight attendants.  Lucky for me, this Baileys and Milk creation is a home-run.

• Use any type of milk – whole, 2 percent, 1 percent or skim. 
• Have lactose issues? Use almond or soy milk. 
• Or for an extra creamy, decadent treat, try using heavy cream or half and half.

How to Make Easy Bailey’s Drink

Step By Step Instructions

1. Pour ice into glass. (Any type of glass – coffee cup, martini glass, small rocks glass, paper cup)
2. Mix Bailey’s Irish Cream and Milk, and pour over ice.
3. Stir and enjoy!

• Use whatever type of milk you prefer including whole milk, skim milk, 2%, almond milk, oat milk, or for ultra decadence, try half and half or heavy cream.
