Jalapeno Cape Codder Drink Recipe

Cranberry and vodka cocktails are traditionally called Cape Codders.

Cranberries are an important crop for the Cape Cod area, hence where this drink originated.  Meg knows quite a bit about cranberries from her time working in the area for the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association.

Plus, Cranberry Vodka cocktails are Barbara’s favorites.

Spicy Vodka Cranberry Cocktail

We often get inspiration for our recipes from family trips, such as our Amaretto Pina Colada recipe that we made after a trip to Bonita Springs, Florida.  A trip to Arizona inspired this cape codder cocktail with jalapeno.

Everywhere we looked in Tucson, we saw cocktails with the addition of jalapenos for a spicy kick.

My cocktail of choice has always been a Cape Codder, so I decided to up the ante with some spice.  We made our version in a mason jar which allows for easy storage in the refrigerator, and it also allows for safe storage for travel to prevent any spills!
