Our favorite Thanksgiving dessert recipes range from traditional pies to more unique desserts featuring the flavors of the season – pumpkin and apple. The holidays are a great excuse to make a variety of desserts to please everyone.

In our family we have a rule that we must have AT LEAST five dessert options at any family gathering. The sweet tooth is strong in our family tree. So we decided to share a Thanksgiving desserts list with you!

When you think about the best Thanksgiving desserts, it really is personal preference, but we think you will be able to find a few recipes that check that box for you.

Thanksgiving Pumpkin Desserts

You may be asking what is the most popular dessert on Thanksgiving and while it probably depends on where you are, we are assuming it’s the pumpkin pie! Check out our friend’s classic pumpkin pie recipe.

Our grandma always made at least one – usually two – Pumpkin Chiffon Pies for Thanksgiving. Use a regular pie crust or try it with a graham cracker crust – both are delicious.

Grandma's Pumpkin Chiffon Pie is a simple, creamy no-bake alternative to the traditional pumpkin pie. This silky, smooth pumpkin chiffon pie was a staple on our family's Thanksgiving dinner table throughout our childhood.

Sticking with the pumpkin pie theme, we also love this Impossible Pumpkin Pie using Bisquick instead of a traditional crust.

If you are looking for a fail-proof pumpkin pie that is perfectly spiced and dense, then look no farther than our Impossible Pumpkin Pie recipe. This is a vintage recipe that features Bisquick.  Blend all the ingredients together in one-step, pour into a pie plate, and the rest is magic. No pie crust required.

This Crock Pot Pumpkin Pie Pudding has all of the flavors of pumpkin pie without the crust AND you can have it cooking in your slow cooker while the rest of dinner is fixed in the oven or on the stove top.

This Pumpkin Crunch dessert is similar to a pumpkin dump cake and is extra delicious if you add your favorite nuts (we like pecans) to the top!

With a crisp topping and a dollop of whipped cream, this Pumpkin Crunch Dessert - made with a cake mix - is perfect for a crowd. Sometimes people call this Pumpkin Crunch Cake or Pumpkin Crunch Bars. We think it should be called the Best Ever Pumpkin Crunch Dessert of all time.

Check out this post with a recipe for Praline Pumpkin Pie Bars (and 27 other pumpkin recipe links).

Thanksgiving Pie Recipes

Pumpkin pies aren’t the only pies perfect for your Thanksgiving dessert menu. Pecan Pie, like the one on Farmwife Feeds, is traditional – at least – in our neck of the woods.

Sugar cream pie is a popular Indiana pie and our version is an Amaretto Sugar Cream Pie.

Amaretto Sugar Cream Pie takes two of my favorite things and makes the most incredible dessert----Amaretto and Sugar Cream Pie.  The filling is creamy and smooth and fantastically delicious.

We love a good cream pie and Grandma’s Lemon Meringue Pie is amazing.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie is a simple, old fashioned recipe that features fresh lemon juice.  This recipe is a lemon pie without cornstarch instead using regular flour as a thickener.  It's the perfect balance between sweet and tart, and the rustic appearance makes it a favorite among amateur bakers.

This Peanut Butter Pie is also a crowd-pleaser.

Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie is a from scratch pudding pie that has a decadent peanut butter flavor and smooth, creamy texture.  You may never buy a boxed pudding mix again after making this easy pudding filling.
