What to Expect
This week at These Old Cookbooks, we are serving up delicious meals that Grandma would approve. All of these recipes have simple ingredients (much of which are probably in your pantry already) and are easy to follow.
Many of this week’s meals make large portions, so you should have plenty of leftovers to take for lunch or to eat again as a second meal. Score! You could even make a new meal that goes something like this.  Make a burrito bowl layering leftover French Onion Rice, Garlic Clove Chicken and Spicy Roasted Zucchini. That would be a delicious and filling meal.
As usual, we have some strategies to save you precious time. Make up extra 20 Clove Garlic Chicken in the Slow Cooker, and use the leftovers later on in the week when you whip up Chicken Noodle Casserole. The chicken will be perfect for this casserole. Also, go ahead and brown up a second pound of ground beef when you are preparing Crock Pot Enchiladas. When it’s time to make Ground Beef Shepherd’s Pie, you’ll already have one step completed.
