This bacon cauliflower salad, packed with chopped bacon and crunchy cauliflower and radish, is an easy side dish that is perfect for any picnic, potluck or party. It tastes great!
Creamy Cauliflower Salad
I love a layered salad with a homemade dressing. Traditionally, it’s a seven layer salad, but I like this version with just romaine, bacon, cauliflower and radish even more.
What I like most is the fact that it makes a smaller portion than that of a large seven layer salad. This makes it more manageable for a weeknight as most layered salads have a mayonnaise dressing that will get soggy after the first day.
The flavors of the simple ingredients are the perfect match for this homemade creamy dressing.
Crunchy Cauliflower Salad
I love the crunchy texture of this layered salad. The cauliflower, romaine lettuce and radishes all have a natural crunch to them that makes this salad extra special.
The original recipe from a cook book called Taste of Indian Creek hit a homerun with creating this bacon cauliflower toss.
I’d serve it along side a grilled steak and baked potatoes for the perfect meal.

How do you eat cauliflower florets?
Other than just washing, and then cutting raw cauliflower into florets to eat, raw cauliflower makes a great salad. The natural crunch of cauliflower pairs well with a thick, creamy dressing such as ranch dressing, bleu cheese dressing or any dressing made with mayonnaise. Add other veggies of your choice along with crumbled, cooked bacon, and you’ll be sure to fall in love with cauliflower. Try our Ranch Cauliflower Salad for another great salad recipe.

What can I use raw cauliflower for?
Raw cauliflower tastes great with a creamy dip or served on a crudité platter, but there’s also other ways to use it. Add it to any salad, particularly with a layered salad with a creamy dressing. Raw cauliflower also holds up great in a brine which means it’s easily pickled. Use it as a condiment for sandwiches or tacos.
