- In a large bowl, dissolve grape jello mix in hot water with a whisk or a blender on low speed.

- Pour mixture into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish or a large glass bowl; refrigerate until the jello layer sets up.
- Prepare cream cheese icing by beating softened cream cheese and sour cream.
- Add sugar and vanilla, and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Spread cream cheese topping over gelatin layer. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate to let the topping set up.
