This week’s menu consists of Low Calorie Cabbage Soup, Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak, Campfire Potatoes, Crock Pot 20 Clove Garlic Chicken, Spicy Roasted Zucchini, Sheet Pan Fajitas, Skillet Smoked Sausage and Cabbage, Grandma’s Chicken Rice Casserole, and Crock Pot Cheesy Smoked Sausage and Potato Bake.
Here at These Old Cookbooks, we are whipping up weekly meal plans to help your busy week go more smoothly. To do this, we are coming up with a meal plan for the whole week that will set you up for success and reduce the stress level in your house.
Weekly Meal Plan: What to Expect
Our meal plan consists of meals that Grandma would serve. One thing we know is true is that these meals will be fast, easy and kid-friendly. As a result, we also suggest making extra of certain items that can be reused into a new recipe later in the week. Thank you leftovers!
Also, we like to strategically plan recipes that share ingredients. In the end, it reduces food waste and saves money.
Something else that we do differently is to start our meal planning on Saturday. The weekend is a big opportunity to make some meals ahead of time to help you get through your week. We like to make meals that have some leftovers that can be eaten for your lunch. Doing this will help you save some money by avoiding eating lunch out.
See the grocery list below. You most likely won’t need everything on that list. We are betting that you have many of these ingredients already in your refrigerator or pantry!
