      1. I love to see recipes that bring back wonderful memories of family & friends& special occasions.

  1. Turned out great I did have fresh carrots which I diced and add and used beef broth because that’s what I had. The sausage was very lean so I added about 1 tablespoon of butter for fat and used about 1 1/2 tablespoons of soy sauce. We loved it.

  2. so it’s not minute white rice….
can I use long grain white rice??
thank you so much for your time and help towards this matter.

  3. awesome…. thank you so much for your help!! I am going to make this tomorrow for dinner. I am also using ground pork sausage….not breakfast….is that okay too??

  4. Made a double batch, as I have a large family, and it was delicious. Used beef broth and jasmine rice, all I had, and tasted good. Some of my family members put shredded cheddar on top and some did hot sauce. Using the leftovers and adding taco seasoning for taco Tuesday! Great recipe and will definitely make again!

  5. I just wanted to say thank you for this recipe. I searched for it, literally for years, and could not find it until a couple of years ago. This was one of my favorite dishes growing up that my Grandma would make. I remember asking her to make it for my bday one year. Anyway, I made your recipe and it tastes exactly as I remembered. So thank you very much. It brings back some good memories, and is absolutely delicious!
