Ever wanted to make those sweet, crunchy nuts that are a staple at mall kiosks across the country? Look no farther than our Cinnamon Glazed Nuts (pecans)! And guess what? They are simple to make, and only takes five ingredients. Ever wanted to make those sweet, crunchy nuts that are a staple at mall kiosks across the country? Candied Nuts Recipe:

We grew up getting these crunchy Cinnamon Glazed Nuts from our good family friend, Susan Coers, every December, along with a plate full of other homemade candies. She also always included her Peanut Butter Balls (or Buckeye candies) too.

Aren’t these homemade treats the best kinds of gifts?  We love delivering Grandma’s Chocolate Fantasy Fudge, Dainty Log Butter Cookies, Caramel Puff Corn, and Grandma’s Caramel Corn.

Honestly, I avoided the candied pecans in my younger years and went for the buckeyes (peanut butter balls) and other chocolate treats. However, I grew to appreciate these and now our mom has to hide them from us if she wants any for herself!

Prefer peanuts instead? Try these Candied Peanuts made the same way but without the cinnamon!

Cinnamon Glazed Nuts

These candied pecan treats are super easy – only 5 ingredients! And this recipe is a breeze to double (or triple or quadruple) for those holiday gatherings or gift exchanges!

I love giving southern cinnamon sugared pecans as gifts for the holidays. It’s super simple to do. Put them in a cute holiday tin or a mason jar with a cute ribbon and you have a gift from the heart.  Watch out because everyone will expect them year after year.

Be careful when you are making these because they smell (and taste) just like those irresistible, warm, crunchy nuts at the mall kiosks (also called Bavarian nuts). You must have a distribution plan in place or risk eating them all fresh from the oven!  If we could bottle this delicious, cinnamon aroma, we’d be millionaires.

What are Bavarian nuts?

Bavarian nuts are those crunchy, cinnamon sugar covered nuts often sold at the mall.  These nuts have a delectable aroma and a crispy texture.

What can I do with a lot of pecans?

  • Crock Pot Glazed Pecans
  • Grandma’s Butterscotch Pecan Rolls
  • Chocolate Nut Cookies
  • Pistachio Coffee Cake
  • Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Iced Thumbprint Cookies

If the cooking time is 45 minutes and we stir the nuts every 15 minutes, we stir them twice, not three times.

The third time is at the end of the 45 minutes! Thanks for pointing this out, we clarified in the recipe.

Blackberry Batter Cake is the perfect combination of a blackberry cake, blackberry cobbler and a blackberry crisp.  It has the perfect amount of sweetness to counteract the tart of the berry.  The bottom consists of a blackberry filling while the top is a simple cake with a crisp sugar topping. Topped with ice cream or plain milk (like our Dad), this recipe is a home run.
