My family loves cookies. As a Mom, I love having warm cookies on the table when the kids get home from school. My youngest nephew gave me the best compliment when he said, “You sure do know a lot of different cookie recipes.” I guess I’m doing my job.
This easy M&M cookie recipe is one of the varieties that the kids love. Who doesn’t love a cookie with M&M candies? It’s the best of both worlds.
This particular recipe is failproof. I attribute the easiness to the use of Crisco in the recipe. I find that Crisco makes the perfect texture when it comes cookies.
Ingredients
- Brown Sugar
- White Sugar
- Crisco
- Large Egg
- Vanilla Extract
- Water
- All Purpose Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- M&Ms
How to make M&M cookies?
Step by Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Using either a large bowl and a hand mixer or a stand mixer, cream together Crisco, brown and white sugars, scraping down the bowl as you go.
- Beat in vanilla, egg and water.
- Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and mix well.
- Stir in M&M candies by hand.
- Drop cookie dough by the teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet pan.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Storage Instructions
Transfer cooled cookies to an airtight container, and store at room temperature.
