Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Water
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup M&Ms

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Using either a large bowl and a hand mixer or a stand mixer, cream together Crisco, brown sugar and white (granulated) sugar, scraping down the bowl as you go.

Notes

    • I prefer butter flavored Crisco, but regular works too. Make life easier with these Crisco sticks, no measuring required.
    • The total amount of flour used is 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons!
    • There's no need to sift the dry ingredients unless you really want to.
    • Change up your cookies for the holidays. I love using different colored candies for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, etc.
    • A small cookie scoop makes the perfect size cookie.
    • This makes a smaller batch of cookies, so go ahead and double it, if desired.
