- 3 cups Graham Cracker crumbs
- 3/4 cup Butter melted
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2.6 ounces Dream Whip Mix (or 16 ounces of Cool Whip)
- 1 cup Milk (omit milk if using Cool Whip instead of Dream Whip)
- 42 ounces Cherry Pie Filling
Crush graham cracker crumbs, and melt butter. Combine the two, and take half the mixture and press into the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, blend softened cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla extract.
If using Dream Whip, whip the dry mix with milk until soft peaks form. Skip this step if you are using Cool Whip instead.
Fold Dream Whip mixture or Cool Whip (whichever you decide to use) into the cream cheese mixture.
Spread half the cream cheese mixture over the layer of graham crackers.
Top with cherry pie filling (all of it).
Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over top the canned cherry pie filling.
Sprinkle the remaining graham cracker mixture over the top.
Cover tightly with a tight-fitting lid or with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight or for several hours.
