- 30 ounces frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 10,5 ounces cream soup (cream of celery, chicken or mushroom)
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Brown ground beef; season with salt and pepper. Drain grease, if needed.
In a very large bowl, stir together cream soup, sour cream and 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese.
Stir in hash browns, browned hamburger, and melted butter.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
Bake for 1 hour or until hot and bubbly.
Optional: turn oven off. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Keep in oven until cheese is melted on top.
Let casserole sit for 10 minutes before serving to let it set up.
