Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a jelly roll pan. Line with parchment if desired.

Add melted butter; combining until it's completely moist.
Reserve 2 cups of oat mixture for topping. Press the rest into the bottom of prepared jelly roll pan.
Bake for 12 minutes. Remove from oven.
Spread one can of apple pie filling over top (see notes). Sprinkle with reserved oat topping.
Bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle with desired amount of caramel topping.
- This recipe for apple crisp bars uses a can of apple pie filling. If you want loads and loads of apples, add a second can to the recipe. This will also make the recipe stretch farther.
- 1 1/2 cups butter is equal to 3 sticks.
- Be sure to use quick oats, not to be confused with old fashioned oats.
- Apple Crumble Bars are made in a jelly roll pan, meaning they will serve a crowd. I like to line the bottom of my jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- The best part in my opinion is the caramel topping. Drizzle as much or as little as you desire, or omit completely.
