Recipe Notes
  • This is such an easy slow cooker chowder recipe.  Open the cans, and toss them in. Fix it and forget it.
  • Do not put the half and half in until the end of the recipe, about thirty minutes before serving.  You don't want it to curdle.
  • To lighten things up, use fat free evaporated milk.
  • If you're lazy, put whole chicken breasts in this crock pot chowder, and shred them before putting in the half and half.
  • Regular canned diced tomatoes can be used or try changing out your favorite canned beans.
