Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. baby back ribs or pork spare ribs
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 onion medium sized, sliced thin

Instructions

  • Combine flour and brown sugar, add soy sauce and water and mix well.
  • Cut the baby ribs in half so that they fit into the crock pot insert.
  • Add to insert, top with onions. Pour water mixture over ribs.
  • Bake on low for 8 hours.
  • If you are home, rotate the two racks of ribs so that they are submerged into the liquid half way through cooking.

Notes

  • This tender rib recipe in the slow cooker only has 5 ingredients---ribs, flour, brown sugar, soy sauce and onions.
  • Use baby back or pork spare ribs, whichever you prefer or have on hand.
  • Soy sauce tenderizes the ribs to make them fall off the bone.
  • To make these fit, cut the rack of ribs in half.
  • If you are at home while this is cooking, rotate the two racks half way through cooking so that each gets submerged in the cooking liquid evenly.
