- 10 ounces frozen, chopped spinach (box)
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup minced green onion
- 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley), optional
Add frozen spinach to a blender, and pulverize to break it up.
To the blender, add the remaining ingredients; blend into smooth.
Pour into serving dish or bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve as a dip with vegetables, crackers, pretzels or chips.
- Do not thaw the spinach before preparing the dip.
- Use a blender, Vitamix or Ninja to make this dip.
- If you do not have a blender, chop frozen spinach (do not thaw), and mix all ingredients together by hand until spinach is evenly distributed through the dip.
- Cold Spinach Dip can be prepared a couple days ahead of time and stored in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Parsley is completely optional in this Frozen Spinach Dip.
- Regular, full-fat mayonnaise works best; however, low fat or fat free mayonnaise could be used, if needed.
- For a fancy appetizer, hollow out a Hawaiian Bread Bowl, and serve the frozen spinach dip from the bowl.
