- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cups washed, peeled and sliced potatoes
- 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 10.5 ounces condensed French Onion Soup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Season both sides of pork steak with seasoned salt and pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in skillet; brown both sides of pork steak. Place in the prepared baking dish.
Arrange sliced potatoes over top of the pork steak in dish.
Whisk together cream of mushroom soup and French Onion Soup until smooth. Pour over top of the potatoes.
Cover tightly with foil, and bake for 50 - 60 minutes. Remove foil and continue to cook until potatoes are fork tender.
Let the dish set for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to let the juices thicken.
- Use as many or as few sliced pork steak as your family needs. Top with as many washed, peeled and sliced potatoes as well.
- If you're serving up a huge family, you might need to use 2 cans of cream soup and/or French Onion Soup.
- Browning the pork steaks can be omitted; however, I highly recommend it if you've got time.
- If needed, substitute regular salt for seasoned salt.
- Be sure to cover the pan with foil tightly to keep the meat juicy.
- Pork Chops can be used instead of pork steaks.
