Creamy Skillet Macaroni and Cheese is the perfect side dish.  This one pan dish comes together quickly, is made with ingredients already in your pantry, and will have your kids begging for seconds.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion and saute until tender.

  2. Stir in flour, salt and dried oregano; add macaroni and milk.

  3. Cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove lid and reduce heat to a simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

  4. Add cheese, and stir until completely melted. Do not bring back to a boil.
