Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground turkey, 99% fat free
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 15 ounces stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 (14.5) ounce canned cut green beans, undrained
  • 1-2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet or saucepan, brown ground turkey and diced onions. Break into chunks as it cooks. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper.

  2. Add undrained stewed tomatoes. Break up the tomatoes into smaller pieces if desired.

  3. Add tomato sauce, undrained green beans, chili powder, garlic salt, and additional 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. 

  4. Cook at medium heat, stirring occasionally for approximately 30 minutes.  If a soupier consistency is desired, add water to thin.
