The French Toast Casserole has a rich, eggy texture and yummy cinnamon flavor, and is prepped overnight. It also feeds a crowd making it perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch or for a family holiday.
Spray a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cut Brioche bread into large 1 inch cubes. Add to the prepared baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whish eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over the bread. Cover tightly with aluminum foil, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
Remove from oven 30 minutes prior to baking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Dot casserole with cubes of butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over top. Cover with foil.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with real maple syrup.
