Quick Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe

This best ever pulled pork is perfectly seasoned during cooking with a packet of dry onion soup mix. Once cooked and shredded, add your favorite bottled BBQ sauce, stir and serve. That’s it. Simple as can be.

The secret to amazing pulled pork is in the cut of meat that you use. Always go with a pork cut that has a fat cap. Believe me, fat is flavor. A couple options are pork loin roasts or pork shoulder roasts. While cooking, the fat should be pointed upwards, and as it slowly cooks, the fat will drip down through the meat resulting in a moist texture.

With just three ingredients, you can have this quick crock pot pulled pork ready to go.

Ingredient List

  • Pork Loin Roast, Pork Butt or Boston Butt
  • Dry Onion Soup Mix

  • This is a saucy pulled pork recipe. Try using a Crock Pot Liner for easy cleanup.
  • Do not overcook the pork! Cook until it comes apart easily with two forks.
  • Add as much or as little bottled barbecue sauce as you like. If you like it saucy, add more. If you prefer more pork flavor, add less. It’s your preference.

How can I speed up pulled pork?

Cook the pulled pork on high in crockpot to speed up the cooking process. The pork will be tender in 3 to 4 hours instead of 8 to 10 hours.

How much water do you put in a Crock-Pot for pulled pork?

If you’re using a piece of pork with a nice fat cap, then you do not need to add any water. Place the fat cap facing up which will allow the fat to render out into the meat keeping it moist and tender.
