Where’s the best place to buy nuts?

Pecans were the nut of choice in our house growing up. Our mom used to order them from someplace around the holidays, and a big box full of pecan halves would arrive just in time for holiday baking!  If that’s right up your alley, try order pecans here (we are not affiliated with Nuts.com).

Today, I keep my eyes open for deals on pecans around the holiday, but if there aren’t any sales, you can always find them at Aldi for a decent price!

How to properly store pecans after opening?

Place the pecans in an airtight container or zip-lock bag, and store in the freezer until ready to use.  This prevents the natural oils in the pecans from going rancid and causing an off-flavor.

Can I freeze Candied Pecans?

Yes, place these in an airtight bag or container for up to 2 months in the deep freeze.
